JSX Copy Editor: AI Built Your Website. Now Edit the Words Yourself.

Change the words on your AI-built website with JSX Copy Editor. Review supported static JSX text in one VS Code panel, edit several lines and save your changes.

Your website is taking shape. The AI agent has written the code, the pages are working, and you are ready to make the copy sound like you.

Install JSX Copy Editor from the VS Code Marketplace

There is a heading to shorten. A description to rewrite. A sentence above the contact form that you would never say to a customer.

You know the words you want. You just need to find where they live.

We built JSX Copy Editor to make that part easier. Our VS Code extension brings supported static JSX text into one editable column, so you can review your copy and change several passages together, without scrolling through the surrounding code or asking AI to apply every wording change.

Spend Your Attention on the Copy

JSX Copy Editor gives the words their own editing panel. Open a local JSX or TSX file, run the extension, and work through the text it collects.

If you are vibe coding a website without a development background, the code an agent produces can be difficult to read. A page that looks simple in the browser may draw its content from several files. Even after you find the right file, you still have to pick out the sentence among everything around it.

The extension gives you a more comfortable place to make those editorial changes. Text appears in fields you can edit, grouped by source file with line numbers. Supported local imported components appear in their own file blocks.

Read the passages, choose what needs improving and make the changes while you are thinking about the message.

Revise Several Passages in One Pass

You can edit multiple fields before applying your changes. That makes the panel useful for a round of copy revisions, as well as the occasional typo.

Imagine reviewing a service website. This is an illustrative example: you want a shorter opening heading, a clearer explanation of what you offer and a more direct invitation to get in touch. In the panel, you can revise the supported passages together and click Save Changes when you are ready.

Reading the copy together also helps you catch things you might miss while changing one line at a time. Two sections may repeat the same promise. One description may be much longer than the others. The introduction may sound friendly while the contact section suddenly becomes formal.

You decide what the page should say. JSX Copy Editor makes the supported text easier to reach and revise.

Open, Edit, Save and Preview

Getting started takes a few steps in VS Code. Install JSX Copy Editor from the Marketplace link above and open a local .jsx or .tsx file in your website project.

Press Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows or Cmd+Shift+P on Mac, then run Copy Editor: Open. Review the text fields and edit as many supported passages as you need. Click Save Changes to apply the edits in VS Code, then save the source files normally. Preview your website and check the wording in its layout.

The extension can extract text without running your website or starting a development server. You can work on the words first, then open your usual website preview to see the result. Edits support normal VS Code undo too.

A preview is useful for the final decision: does the shorter heading read better, does a longer description fit, and do the sections make sense together? Make another pass through the fields if something still needs adjusting.

Built for Static JSX and TSX Copy

JSX Copy Editor works with supported literal text written directly in JSX and TSX components. If your AI-built project keeps its headings and paragraphs there, the panel gives you a focused way to edit them.

Text supplied through dynamic expressions, props, maps, conditionals, template content or attribute values is outside the current scope. Complex imports and ambiguous components are skipped. Some words visible on your website may therefore need editing in their original source or content system.

The panel groups text by source file; it does not recreate the browser page's visual order. The file names and line numbers provide source context, while your website preview shows how the revised copy reads on the page.

You can read the full scope and usage instructions in the JSX Copy Editor README on GitHub, linked in the sources below.

Make the Small Changes Yourself

JSX Copy Editor is a productivity extension for the moment you already know what you want to change. You can replace a sentence, tighten a few descriptions and review the result without turning each edit into another AI request.

It processes your source locally in VS Code. There is no backend, AI service, network traffic or telemetry from the extension.

If you have been building a website with AI and hunting through files to fix the wording, try it on one component. Open the panel, revise a few related passages and save your changes.
