Brownsmith field notes

How We Use It

We use Coolify as the bridge between an application that works locally and a production service that another person can depend on, we let Codex prepare the Dockerfile and deployment configuration but require it to explain every port and volume and secret in ordinary language before anything reaches a server. A local machine or small test server is the right place to prove health checks and persistent storage and rollback, once those boring but humane safeguards are working Brownsmith can provide the production server and configure domains and backups without making the builder learn an entire platform engineering career first.
